1. Data We Collect
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and institutional affiliation. When you use our tools, we store the research data you provide (manuscripts, statistical outputs, references, and project metadata). We also collect basic usage analytics such as pages visited, tools used, and session duration to improve the platform.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to provide and operate JournalReady's research tools, personalise your experience, and improve the quality of our service. Usage analytics help us understand which tools are most valuable and where we can improve. We do not use your research content for any purpose other than delivering the service you requested.
3. AI Processing
Manuscripts and research content you submit are sent to the Anthropic Claude API for analysis and feedback. This data is processed in real-time and is not stored by Anthropic beyond the duration of the API call. Anthropic does not use your data to train its models. You should not submit data you are not authorised to share, including unpublished data subject to third-party confidentiality agreements.
4. Data Storage
Your data is stored in a Supabase PostgreSQL database hosted in the Mumbai (ap-south-1) region. All data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 and encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2+. Database backups are performed daily and retained for 7 days.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or research data. Anthropic processes AI requests on our behalf under their data processing terms. No other third parties receive your data. Aggregated, anonymised usage statistics may be used internally to improve the platform.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access, export, or delete your data at any time. You can export your projects and research data from within the platform. To request full account deletion, contact us at the email address below. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
7. Cookies
JournalReady uses a minimal number of cookies. We use an authentication session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
